Greg Trott is the Project Manager in the Australian federal government who has been responsible since August 2010 for managing the project to develop the Common Alerting Protocol – Australia (CAP-AU) Profile. He previously served in the Royal Australian Air Force from 1982 – 2010 performing flying duties for 10 years as an Air Combat Officer, Tactical Coordinator and Navigator Instructor on P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft, and since 1995 as a Project Manager responsible for delivery of an array of air power projects including a crew training simulator, requirements development for introduction of the P-8A Poseidon and the Global Hawk systems, requirements development for Air Base support capabilities and construction of a deployable operations support capability for an airborne surveillance system.
Greg holds a Master of Management Studies in Defence Capability Development & Acquisition and has been accredited as a Certified Practising Project Director (CPPD) since 2006, through the Australian Institute of Project Management.
